Optical Practice Support
at SCQF Level 7
This higher level apprenticeship will be aimed at certifying those in a Supervisory/Management position within an optical setting.
This course will be assessed the same way as the current Level 5 through direct assessment of competence in workplace, for areas including Managing the Optical Practice, Managing Customer Service and Supervising the Work of Others.
At present, the course is still going through final stages of approval for funding.
We are trying to gage the level of interest so that we can request an estimated number of funded places.

training and development requirements for Optical Assistants.
