"The Modern Apprenticeships have been a great success and quite the benefit to our practice. To date, each of our apprenticeships who have completed the qualification have stayed on at our practice and are valued and experienced members of our team. Many of them intend to build on their careers here in admin based roles, and one has branched into a clinical role with the support of the practice and has completed the Health Care Support Worker course.
We have found that the MAs not only help in developing skills but also by building confidence by offering support and structure, which has been clearly demonstrated in each of our apprentices. The support offered by their assessor also helps in guiding apprentices, who for many this may be their first experience in a working environment, which in turn, helps support the practice in their training and development. By investing in these apprentices, with the additional support from Rewards, we have gained many valued employees who have enhanced our team and actively contribute in maintaining the values and standards of our practice. We have found that by participating in the MAs we are reaching a different group of possible team members that otherwise may not apply for roles at our practice, who have the potential to do exceptionally well here and contribute back to our patients and our team."
Alix Maguire - Deputy Practice Manager at Springburn Health Centre
"The training provided by Rewards and in particular Ronnie McAdam, is done so with a person-centred approach and a lot of understanding of not only the day-to-day pressures of a social care organisation but the individual learning styles of our staff. Our staff can study and approach the award in a way that is bespoke and comfortable for them."
Maggie Henderson - Office Administrator at ELCAP
"Our trainee, which came to us via Rewards, has progressed so well with the help she has received from Rewards. They have encouraged her through every step and been there on a regular basis to help our apprentice achieve much more than we expected."
Sharon Arthur - Stevenson & Marshall LLP
"Rewards have been very thorough and helpful throughout the process. Thank you to Sean Hughes for his input. Their work-based assessor has been ever present, always solicitous and helpful to the trainees as well as the business. Their communication with the trainees is excellent and provides a very supportive learning environment. All the apprentices we have had have always given great feedback about the academic mentoring and guidance. Pauline Dennis was superb for the last 3 apprentices, thank you as they would certainly not have all done so well without your personal input. As for the organisation of Rewards Training, very consultative and knowledgeable in their relationship with us. I would definitely recommend Rewards to provide the training that has allowed all our apprentices to attain academic accreditation - I have worked with other colleges for training of apprentices and they fall short of Rewards standards."
Marjorie Stewart - Business Manager at The Murray Surgery
"Apprenticeships are a great opportunity for younger team members to not only have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the workplace but also enables them to gain a recognized qualification while they earn.
A modern apprenticeship enables the company to have an already vetted pool of fresh talent which means you do not have to go to the open market as part of your recruitment process. It allowed us to bring in entry level candidates who are keen to learn about opportunities within our business which we hope will in turn help with our progression and succession planning.
I would definitely encourage younger employees to undertake an apprenticeship as they can work, earn and learn."
Mike Thomson - Manager Business Coordination at Charles River Laboratories

“I recently arranged and hosted a Rewards training session on First Aid for Mental Health for a group of GP Practice Managers. Susan, the trainer, was excellent – clearly very knowledgeable and experienced, and the whole day was informative and engaging. By the end of the course we all felt equipped to provide a robust level of initial support for any colleagues with a mental health issue or going through some kind of emotional distress. I highly recommend the course and the practical skills that we learned to support our colleagues.”
Austin Flynn- Practice Manager, Muirhouse Medical Group
ILM Coaching and Mentoring
"I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this CPD and I know that this will have a transformative impact on my approach to helping to develop teachers. My trainer, Susan, was excellent and, being someone who tends to be reticent about speaking up in group situations, Susan's encouraging manner really put me at ease and I felt my confidence grow as the course progressed."
Tara Martiniere - Teacher of English at Blessed John Henry Newman RC College

We send our team to Rewards as they offer professional, well-structured training courses and the feedback has been that the training topics enhance leadership and supervisory skills; the trainers are approachable, supportive and knowledgeable about their subject matter and their delivery ensures the success of the course.
The ECITB Supervisory Management and
ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management are both courses which help support our team in their roles and how to improve the effectiveness of the management of their team."
Mandy Weir - Training Co-ordinator at Applus+ UK
"I think the ILM 4 course has been a very insightful introduction into what is required for high level Leadership Management. I think the course really challenges you to self reflect on your own style and assess how you can improve personally rather than just thinking of the subject hypothetically.
Our instructor was very open and enthusiastic, encouraged discussions and ways to develop topics further. They were also very flexible with the assignments and available to email or talk to if required for further support. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to develop their leadership or communication skills."
Stuart Matheson - Lead Project Engineer at Subsea 7 Ltd
"The trainer was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic on the subject, being able to use lots of relevant experience as examples to support the training materials. The trainer also made themselves available to assist the delegates between the classroom sessions. The course itself was eye-opening and very useful to understand the theory behind different managerial styles and how do get the most from your team."
Dane Fullerton - Payroll, Reward & Training Team Lead at Subsea 7 Ltd
"A lot of courses are just about going through the motions to tick the boxes to get a certificate at the end, but I found this course to be very good as it did make us look into the way we operate and how we can be better. The content was relevant and engaging plus the trainer was good at keeping us enthused to be involved."

"Aker Solutions Ltd, in conjunction with Rewards Training, have been training a number of our personnel on the ECITB Supervisory Modules.
By utilizing remote training, we feel that it can enhance both efficiency and employee satisfaction through the following benefits.
• Cost Efficiency – remote training eliminates the need for travel and other related charges.
• Consistency – this ensures that all employees receive same quality of training, regardless of their location, which allows us to maintain a consistent corporate culture and standard.
• Networking – by utilizing remote access, we allow for networking opportunities between our sites and personnel from a wider range business sector which would not be feasible if holding either a bespoke course or attending a local session.
• Flexibility – the use of remote learning benefits us in regard to the work/life/study balance. The ability to deliver over a period of mornings, for example, allows personnel to then still have work focus meaning scopes can continue with limited interruptions but also any skills being learned can immediately be put into action.
• Scalability – remote training can easily be scaled to accommodate a large number of employees making it ideal for a global company like Aker Solutions.
These benefits, we feel, help Aker Solutions nurture talent, improve performance, and stay competitive in the industry."
